In 2019, Ofir David and Uri Shapira established an equidistribution result for a certain divergent orbits in the space of 2-dimensional lattices under some non-escape of mass assumption. In this talk, we will relax this non-escape of mass assumption and give its applications to continued fractions of rationals. This is joint work with Ofir David, Ron Mor, and Uri Shapira.
