In quantum parameter estimation, one uses quantum features to increase the precision in estimating one or more parameters, which can be useful in various areas of science and technology1. In a recent study2, it was demonstrated that the two-mode squeezed vacuum (TMSV) state exhibits robustness against thermal noise in transmission spectroscopy. Here, we theoretically analyze the experimental scheme in detail. We set the theoretical model for the experiment and investigate the following schemes: i) photon number count measure (PN) for the classical scheme (CS), ii) coincidence counting measurement (CC), iii) photon number difference measure (ND for the quantum scheme (QS).
First, introduce a brief classical point estimation and further quantum point estimation theory. Then explain our work3, published in the scientific report. Finally, our recent work about analytic solution for the classical Fisher information for the TMSV.
