In this talk, we study maximal averaging operators, starting with the Euclidean setting. After discussing the motivations and key developments in Euclidean space, we will move on to the Heisenberg group, where new difficulties arise due to its non-commutative structure. I will introduce my recent research on maximal averaging operators in Heisenberg groups, explaining the methods used.
